Alpine pass book

115 Alpine passes. How many can you ride?

From the Grossglockner to the Col de la Bonette: ride over a pass with RIDE, and the app recognises it in your ride and stamps it into your pass book with the date. No ticking boxes, no searching.

All 115 passes in the pass book as a mountain silhouette, arranged west to east by location and drawn as high as their summit. Highlighted: a sample collection of 16 passes.

Every stamp carries the date of your first crossing, and RIDE keeps count each time you ride a pass again. Filter by country, search, and see at a glance what’s still open and where your next tour should take you.

Collected passes also count in challenges that score passes, turning your season into a goal you share with others.

Rides & memories

Every ride tells a story.

RIDE records your route with GPS and turns it into a memory, with replay, photos and notes. At the end of the year, all your rides become your personal year in review.

The ride “Stelvio Pass” in RIDE: replay of the route, coloured by lean angle, with time and speed
Year in review in RIDE: odometer and light trails of all the year’s rides
  • GPS recording with ride mode

Start the ride, phone in the mount, off you go. If you like, ride mode locks the screen against accidental taps, even with gloves on and in the rain. You switch it on in the settings.

  • Replay and gap filling

Play back any ride. If GPS dropped out for a moment, RIDE fills in the missing stretch along the road.

  • Photos and notes

Capture what happened along the way. RIDE saves photos without location data and pins them to your route.

  • Map of your regions

See which states, cantons and regions you’ve already ridden, for eight countries from Austria to Sweden.

  • GPX import and export

Bring rides in from Strava, komoot, calimoto, Garmin Connect or Kurviger, and export any ride as GPX.

  • Year in review to share

Your year as a short film: distance, months, regions and photos. Share it as a story image or as an Instagram carousel.

Digital garage

Your bike. Everything at a glance.

No more scattered paperwork. Everything that belongs to your bike lives in the garage, and RIDE reminds you before something is due. Every ride you record adds to the odometer automatically.

Servicing and tyres

Intervals by distance and time, an editable service history, and tyres with DOT age and tread depth.

Costs

Fuel with consumption and range, workshop bills, insurance as a recurring payment, vignettes and tolls. Including your monthly average.

Receipts and documents

Invoices, warranties and papers as photo or PDF, stored on your device, with a reminder before they expire.

Resale folder

A clean PDF folder for when you sell: odometer, documented services, expenses and key facts.

For now, the free garage holds one motorcycle.

Safety & on the road

Well prepared on the road.

Helpers for the ride: matter-of-fact, and you can switch them off. RIDE doesn’t replace your attention or the road signs.

  • Emergency card

Blood type, allergies, medication and two emergency contacts for first responders, plus a one-tap call to 112. Also available as an image for your lock screen. The data stays on your device.

  • Send your location

Send your current location once by messenger or text, straight from the emergency menu.

  • Weather for your ride

Weather for where you are or for a fixed place, only if you switch it on.

  • Compass

When you’re stopped, the phone’s compass shows the heading; while riding, it comes from GPS.

  • Speed limitBeta

Shows the permitted speed from OpenStreetMap once you switch it on. Data is missing for many roads.

The speed limit shown is based on available map data and may differ from the actual signage. The signs on site always take precedence.

  • Noise bans in Tyrol

Enter your bike’s stationary noise level, and RIDE warns you before and during the ride about the roads in the Reutte and Imst districts that are closed to motorcycles above 95 dB.

Community

Don’t just ride. Ride together.

  • Challenges with leaderboards

Monthly and seasonal challenges for distance, riding days or passes. What counts is how much you ride, never how fast.

  • Crew and chat

Start a crew with friends, invite them by link or code and plan your ride in the chat. You share your live location only if you want to, and only with your crew.

  • Wish box

Missing something? Drop it in the wish box, and your ideas go straight to the RIDE team.

In from day one

RIDE is new. The first 1,000 accounts get a founding member number, shown in their account. You can invite your friends from within RIDE by link or QR code.

Backup

Your data, in good hands.

Your rides live on your device first. With an account, RIDE also backs them up, so a new phone doesn’t mean starting over.

Automatic backup
Rides, garage and costs are backed up to your account in the background whenever something changes.
Two backup versions
A new backup always replaces the older one, so the previous version is kept.
Stored encrypted
Encrypted with AES-256 on the server. Before a backup is restored, RIDE asks for your password unless you’ve only just signed in.
Backup file
Export everything as a file, with photos and documents if you like, and encrypted with a password.

Frequently asked questions

What is RIDE?

RIDE is a web app for motorcyclists. It brings together ride recording, a pass book for 115 Alpine passes, a digital garage with servicing and costs, and challenges and crews with other riders.

What features are included?
  • Rides: GPS recording, optional ride mode, replay, gap filling along the road, photos and notes, region map, GPX import and export, year in review
  • Alpine pass book with 115 passes
  • Garage: servicing, tyres, accessories with receipts, costs, documents with reminders, resale folder
  • On the road: emergency card, send your location, weather, compass, speed limit (beta), noise bans in Tyrol
  • Community: challenges with leaderboards, crew and chat, invite friends, wish box
  • Account with automatic backup, light and dark theme, German and English
Is signing up free?

Yes. All you need is an email address and a password; no payment details are required. RIDE can currently be used without a subscription, and the free garage holds one motorcycle.

How does GPS recording work?

RIDE uses your phone’s GPS. Start the ride, put your phone in the mount and go. If your browser supports it, RIDE keeps the screen on. If you like, ride mode locks it against accidental taps; you switch it on in the settings.

Good to know: as a web app, RIDE only records while it is open and visible. If you lock your phone or switch apps, the operating system pauses location tracking. RIDE shows you the gap and fills it in along the road.

Can I import and export GPX files?

Yes. You import GPX files in the settings, for example from Strava, komoot, calimoto, Garmin Connect or Kurviger. Any recorded ride can be exported as GPX.

Can I manage my motorcycles and servicing?

Yes. Your bike comes with service intervals and a service history, tyres, accessories with receipts, costs and documents with expiry reminders. RIDE adds the distance you ride to the odometer automatically. For now, the free garage holds one motorcycle.

How does the backup work?

With an account, RIDE backs up your rides, garage and costs automatically, encrypted on the server (AES-256) and always in two versions. If you reinstall RIDE and sign in, RIDE offers to restore your backup.

Photos and documents stay on your device. You back them up with the backup file, which you can encrypt with a password.

Does RIDE work on smartphones?

Yes. RIDE runs in the browser on iPhone and Android, and you can add it to your home screen like an app: on iPhone in Safari via “Share” and “Add to Home Screen”, on Android via “Install app”. RIDE isn’t available in the App Store or Play Store at the moment.

Tip for iPhone: the home screen app has its own storage. Sign in there with your account, and you can restore your backup.

Can I use RIDE in German and English?

Yes. In RIDE, you change the language in the settings. This page is also available in German and English; the switch is at the top.
